The Ducks at the Fish Pond

Grandpa stocks the local pond with fish every January. I took the girls over to the pond to check out how all the fishing was going. Hattie loved playing on the grass and when she saw the ducks, she went crazy. She got so excited.

Hattie's Trip to the Emergency Room

On January 5th, Hattie woke up about midnight and couldn't breath very well. She was gasping for air with every breath. She hadn't been sick at all and we weren't sure what was wrong. We got her calmed down and took her to the Hospital. The doctor checked her out and thought she had croop. She gave her a steroid to help the swelling in her throat go down so she could breath easier. After that, she was fine - she never showed any more signs of sickness - we took her home and never had any more problems - it was kind of amazing. Here is her in her little hospital gown...
