We went on a vacation to Mexico - the first time the girls left the country.

My Best Friend

Every Tuesday since Hattie was very young, she has been going over to Grandma Grape's house for a few hours while I go to work.  Hattie looks forward to her Grandma Grape time and I think Grandma likes it too.  Because of this, they have formed a special bond and Hattie calls Grandma Grape her "Best Friend".  I think it is adorable.  For Hattie's birthday, Grandma dressed up like Grapes and I was able to snap this simple picture.  I love it.  Hattie's best friend - her Grandma Grape.

I am so glad she is finally 3 - people have been thinking she was 3 for the past year.

Hattie's New Doll

Okay, so here's the story.  My mom and I were shopping with Hattie.  She found this little thing and proclaimed, "Mommy, look how cute."  Well, Hattie, that is not the word I would have used.

When she figured out that his eyes lighted up, she was even more enamored.

She wanted to buy it but I told her no, we didn't need it and put it back

When we got up to the cash register, guess what was in our basket...her cute new baby doll.

Well, I guess we are taking it home.
